Film Ephemera

Date: October 2011

When a film is produced, many items are produced along with it: wardrobe pieces, props, scripts, souvenirs, and more. As time goes on, these objects can become an important part of our understanding of motion picture history.

The Wayne Collection contains costumes from various movies including Hondo, The Green Berets and Big Jake as well as scripts, press books, novels and video elements.

Signature pieces such as one of John Wayne’s saddles, his director’s chair, a True Grit eye patch, and the vintage leather chaps worn in Red River, Hondo and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance have been donated to the Warner Bros. Museum and will be part of the rotating exhibits at The Wayne Collection.
